Main Boat Shed Roof and Cladding Replaced

As part of a programme of investment and refurbishment, work has been completed on the replacement of the roof and cladding on our main 15,000sq ft boat shed. The shed is used for osmosis treatment, spray painting, boat repairs and provides under cover storage for boats throughout the winter.

Built in 1935 the current shed has stood for some 87 years. It’s longevity is a testament to the quality of workmanship and materials that were used when it was built. Whilst the structure of the shed itself is sound, it recently become clear that work was needed on the roof and cladding, so the decision was made to make a long term investment and replace the whole exterior.

Replacing a roof and cladding on a shed this size is not an easy task and we have used specialist contractors to provide the best possible solution and utilising materials that we would love to think will last another 80 years.
